The Vista reserves the right to refuse any advertising which does not conform to The Vista’s Publications Manual.
Advertisements are also subject to the approval of the advertising manager and editor-in-chief.
Display: Payment must be on a pre-pay basis with each ad paid 7 days before it runs.
Accounts can be billed monthly if that is the only possible method of payment. This must be approved beforehand.
Classified: Payment must be made when ad is placed.
Proofs will be provided at the advertiseręs request as long as the request is made 7 days prior to publication.
Errors in Ads
The Vista will be responsible for only the first insertion of incorrect copy.
Compensation for errors made by The Vista can only be the cost of the ad.
Cancellation of advertising is allowed only until the deadline for space reservation (seven days prior to publication). If the deadline is missed, the ad will run as scheduled, and the cost will reamain the same.
Display: Space must be reserved one week prior to publication. Any copy or graphics to be used in the ad are also due at that time.
Classified: Deadlines are noon on Friday for the Tuesday issue and noon on Tuesday for the Thursday issue.
If space is reserved by the deadline but we do not receive materials, The Vista reserves the right to cancel that reservation.
Fall and spring: The Vista is published in a 11.75″ by 22″ deep format divided into six columns. Each column is 1.833″ wide.
Summer: The Vista is published in a 10.25” by 12.5” deep format divided into five columns. Each column is 12 picas wide (or 2”).
