The Refuge in OKC

The Refuge is a converted meth-house that now serves as a central hub for people doing inner-city missions work and renovation/restoration of the areas surrounding California and Shartel Ave. Last Saturday The Refuge hosted a work day in which 150-200 Life Church-goers, along with other volunteers, picked up trash, painted, planted fruit and trees and furthered renovation on the apartment areas of The Refuge. ...Donate Ya Shirt! day 2

Mason, DYS' fearless leader, has been busy kickin' ass and takin' clothes. well, he's been taking clothes anyway. i don't imagine he had to kick anyone to get them to donate. i mean, who doesn't want to get rid of last year's designer fashion so they can make room for this year's designer fashion, all while putting clothing on some folks who might otherwise be forced to streak around your neighborhood like a crazed sports fan at halftime?! it's a win-win! you get room for even more clothes, you get to help other people get clothes and no one has to see how Homeless Harry claps with no hands. ...Donate Ya Shirt! day 1

Donate Ya Shirt! - University of Central Oklahoma students' on-campus clothing donation drive. The drive will be Monday-Wednesday, March 9th-11th, 2009.
